Zendy is heading to OASPA 2026 Conference

Open Access is entering a new chapter.

For years, the movement has focused on making scholarly research more accessible and removing barriers between researchers and the knowledge they need. Now, generative AI is adding new questions to the conversation.

How should AI interact with scholarly content? What happens to copyright when research is processed by AI systems? How can publishers protect the integrity of research while adopting new technologies? And what will sustainable Open Access look like as the publishing landscape continues to evolve?

These are some of the questions shaping the OASPA 2026 Conference, taking place in Zagreb, Croatia, from 21–23 September 2026.

Organized by the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA), the annual conference brings together publishers, researchers, librarians, and other members of the scholarly communication community to discuss the developments shaping Open Access.
